Avnash Group Chairman Attends 2nd Made in Ghana Fair

Chairman of Avnash Group, Mr. A.K. Mirchandani, attended the recently ended 2nd edition of the Made in Ghana Fair which took place at the forecourt of the Junction Mall in Nungua, Accra.

The fair, organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, saw some of Ghana’s finest crafts beautifully displayed by several companies at the event.

Mr. Mirchandani made it an important point to take time out of his busy schedules to be at the fair grounds and took great delight in personally promoting the products of Avnash industries during his visit to our stand. He also took the time to speak to the media and outlined the important reasons why we ought to encourage the use of locally manufactured goods among Ghanaian. “Our ability to create wealth in within ourselves as we add value to raw materials that is available in our land and we are committed to see this happen” Mr. A.K. Mirchandani said. He went on to add that the strategic sectors of edible oil refinery and rice milling in Ghana hold a lot of potential for job creation for the youth in the country as Agriculture still remains the largest contributor to employment in Ghana.

The 2nd edition of the Made in Ghana Fair, which ended last week, was aimed at creating awareness among the public on the need to patronize locally made products and services in the country. It was also a laudable means of showcasing Ghana’s rich culture to the rest of the world.
